On January 5, 2014 we start out on this itinerary from Ft. Lauderdale.
And this is how we will get there, ms Prinsendam, the Elegant Explorer. We even have the same stateroom we had in 2012.
It has been a full year since we booked this cruise. Now, with shore excursions booked and luggage on its way, it finally seems real. We are less than 2 weeks from departure. Sail away from Ft. Lauderdale will be exactly 2 years since our last cruise. That was the 2012 Grand South America. We enjoyed it so much that we just had to do it again.
We are excited to return to old ports, and anxious to visit the new ports that have been added. We will endeavor to visit some of the attractions we missed last time. We also have a list of things that merit repeating.
This past Thursday our luggage was picked up by FedEx. According to their tracking info, all four bags are now in Ft. Lauderdale at the sorting facility. They are scheduled for delivery to Holland America tomorrow. That was quick.
With just two weeks to go, the time will fly. Especially since Sean and Shelly will be visiting the 27th to the 30th.
I will do my best to keep this blog current while underway. We will be busy, so I might lag by a few days at times.
